When we checked on 1 November 2026, Treatwell’s Connect Freelancer plan was £9.99 a month excluding VAT, with 35% plus VAT on a new client’s first booking from its marketplace. Who is Treatwell better for?
Treatwell offers a salon marketplace as well as business software. Connect Freelancer is close to our Solo on price and includes free text reminders, and Advanced may suit a larger team. Consider the new business a marketplace brings alongside its charges.
Separate finding a client from taking a booking.
A booking system manages appointments. A marketplace can also introduce people who have never heard of your business. Decide whether you need one, the other or both. If you already have a regular client base, test how easily those clients can book directly and return for their next treatment.
How do I switch from Treatwell to Covered Beauty?
- Add a few treatments with the prices and durations you actually use.
- Set your working hours and open the booking page on your phone.
- Check the diary, a client record and the consent forms you need.
- Export your client list from Treatwell and upload it to Covered Beauty as it is. We pick out each client’s name, email and phone.
- Ask us about future appointments and any prepaid balances. Keep access to Treatwell until you have checked everything.

Questions about switching from Treatwell
Does Treatwell charge commission on repeat clients?
Its UK pricing page lists 0% commission for repeat bookings and bookings made directly with you. But its help centre says a client counts as new again if they haven’t had a booking with you on Treatwell in 365 days, or if they book with different details from those saved, such as a different email. A separate processing fee can apply when clients pay online in advance.
Can Treatwell change a commission charge once it’s applied?
Its help centre says it can’t change a charge once commission has been applied, only explain it. Its partner terms also say commission can apply if the salon cancels later than midnight before the visit. Covered Beauty has no commission to dispute.
Can I try Covered Beauty before switching?
Yes. You get seven days free, with no card needed. Add a card before the trial ends if you want to carry on, and your chosen plan starts when it does. Solo is £9/month, Pro £14 and the Team plan £19.99 for up to five people. Stripe processing fees and optional extras are separate.
