What did your booking app
really cost you this year?

Put your own numbers in. It takes about a minute, and nothing you type leaves this page. We make Covered Beauty, so we’re not neutral, but every price here is the app’s own UK list price and we’ll tell you if you’re better off staying put.

Your year, worked out

Fresha lists each one in your wallet as a New Fresha client fee, with the client’s name.

With texts on, we send a confirmation and one reminder for each booking, so our side counts both.

Fresha add-ons you pay for

Fresha Independent cost you about

£833

this year, including VAT

What the year is made of
Subscription£215.28
Fees on new clients£388.80
Card fees£211.20
Extra texts£17.28
£455 less a year on Covered Beauty Pro

The same year with us comes to about £378, including card fees.

That’s not the whole picture. Fresha’s marketplace brought you 36 clients this year, and we don’t have a marketplace like that. You’d need to find them another way. If each of them comes back six more times, the fee works out at £1.54 a visit, which may well be worth paying.

An illustration from your figures and each app’s UK list price, read on 3 November 2026. It isn’t a bill, and yours may differ. Card fees are for bookings paid online by card, on the whole price. Fresha’s add-ons are priced for one location. Add-ons are in your bill but left out of the saving, because we don’t have a direct match for them. Ours is £9 for Solo, £14 for Pro and £19.99 for the Team plan, the total billed, with Stripe’s card fee on online payments. With texts on we send a confirmation as well as one reminder for each booking, and both come out of the plan’s texts, so ours counts both. Prices: Fresha UK pricing, Booksy UK pricing and Treatwell UK pricing. Some free plans cost less than we do, and this guide lists them.

What it counts, and what it doesn’t

It counts what you pay the app: the plan for the number of people taking bookings, the fee on each new client its marketplace brought you, card fees on bookings paid online, texts beyond what the plan includes, and any Fresha add-ons you tick. With Booksy, the new client fee only counts if Boost is on, because with it off Booksy charges none.

It doesn’t count what those marketplace clients went on to spend with you, and that matters. If a marketplace keeps finding you clients who come back, the fee can pay for itself, and we don’t have a big marketplace. So it tells you how many clients you’d need to find another way.

How each app decides who counts as new, and how long you’ve got to dispute a fee, is in our piece on who counts as your client. Every dated change to their prices is in our booking app fee tracker, and every app’s price today is on our UK booking app prices list.

Covered Beauty has no fee on any booking, and 7 days free with no card.

Questions about the calculator

Where do the prices come from?

Each app’s own UK pricing page, read on 3 November 2026: the plan, the fee on a new client, card fees and texts. VAT is added only where the app says its price leaves it out, and it comes off if you tick that you’re VAT registered.

Why aren’t add-ons in the saving?

Because we don’t have a direct match for them, such as an AI that answers your calls. They’re in what the app cost you, and left out of what you’d save.

What if I’d be better off staying?

Then it says so. If the app you’re on costs less than our cheapest plan that fits, the answer is Stay where you are. If its marketplace brings you clients, it says that too, because we don’t have a marketplace like that.

What about a team of more than five?

Our Team plan is for up to five people, so above that it shows what your app costs and doesn’t give a saving. Email hello@covered.technology and we’ll tell you if we fit.

Do you keep what I type?

No. The sums are done in your browser. Nothing you type is sent to us or saved, and closing the page clears it.
