What is the best booking software for lash and brow artists?
Lash and brow artists need booking software that asks about patch tests, has a separate consent form for each treatment, takes a deposit on long full sets and brings clients back for their infills. Covered Beauty, which we make, has ready-made forms for lash extensions, lash lifts, lash and brow tints, brow lamination, henna and brow waxing, takes card deposits with no commission, and costs £9 a month for one person or £19 for up to five. If you want a marketplace to bring you new clients, look at Fresha or Booksy, and an established studio with a team may prefer Phorest or Timely.
We make Covered Beauty, so we’ve also set out the alternatives and who they suit. Every figure about another provider links to its own page, with the day we checked it.
What do lash and brow artists need from booking software?
- Patch tests asked about every time. Tints, lifts, lamination and lash adhesive all carry a risk of reaction, so you need to know when the client was last tested and how it went.
- One form per treatment. A client having a brow tint shouldn’t wade through questions about lash adhesive. Short, separate forms get filled in.
- Full sets and infills booked at the right length. A full set and an infill are very different appointments, and the diary has to know that.
- A deposit on long appointments. A missed full set is a big gap in your day. A deposit at booking protects it.
- Clients back for their infills. Lash infills and brow top-ups keep coming round, and a nudge at the right time keeps your diary full.
- The right aftercare. Lash clients and brow clients need different advice after their treatment.
How does Covered Beauty work for lash and brow artists?
Consent forms and patch tests
Pick from ready-made forms for lash extensions, lash lifts, lash tints, brow tints, brow henna, brow lamination and brow waxing, then read them through and make them your own. The tint, henna, lamination and lash lift forms ask whether the client has had a patch test in the last 6 months with no reaction. The lash extensions form asks about adhesive allergies and past reactions. Link a form to the treatments it covers.
The form goes out with their booking confirmation, and they’re reminded 48 hours before if it isn’t done. Booking a lamination and a tint together? They fill in both forms, one after the other. Clients who filled in the same form in the last 6 months see their previous answers and confirm nothing has changed, including no new reactions since any patch test, then sign again. If someone arrives without it and you’ve set a kiosk PIN, hand them your tablet: it shows only their form until someone from your team enters the PIN.
Want clients to book a patch test online? Add it as its own short treatment with no deposit. Covered Beauty doesn’t stop someone booking a tint without a patch test, so check their form before you start.
Deposits and no-shows
Set a deposit on each treatment: a fixed amount, a percentage of the price, or none at all for a patch test. Clients pay by card when they book, straight into your own Stripe account, with no commission to Covered Beauty. Clients who pay a deposit online save their card, so you can charge your no-show fee if they don’t turn up, in line with your terms.
Infills and aftercare
Set how often each treatment usually comes round, and on the Salon plan smart rebooking spots who’s due back and sends them a nudge. Book regulars in automatically with a recurring appointment, every 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8 or 12 weeks. Switch on aftercare emails and they go out after the appointment, with different advice for lash and brow treatments if you want it.
Working from home and a salon room? Add both as venues and clients only see the times you’re at each one. Solo is £9 a month for one person. Salon is £19 a month for up to five. You get 7 days free to try it, with no card needed to start. See both plans.

Questions from lash and brow artists
What is the best booking software for lash and brow artists in the UK?
Lash and brow artists need booking software that asks about patch tests, has a separate consent form for each treatment, takes a deposit on long full sets and brings clients back for their infills. Covered Beauty, which we make, has ready-made forms for lash extensions, lash lifts, lash and brow tints, brow lamination, henna and brow waxing, takes card deposits with no commission, and costs £9 a month for one person or £19 for up to five. Does Covered Beauty keep track of patch tests?
The ready-made tint, henna, lamination and lash lift forms ask whether the client has had a patch test in the last 6 months with no reaction, and their signed answer stays with their record. You can also add a patch test as its own short treatment with no deposit, so clients can book one online. Covered Beauty doesn’t stop someone booking a tint without one, so check the form before you start.
Can a client book a brow lamination and a tint together?
Yes. They can add up to three more treatments to the same visit, pick one time and pay one deposit. Then they fill in each treatment’s form, one after the other, so if lamination and tint ask different questions they answer both. A form the two share only comes up once.
Do returning clients have to fill in the whole form every time?
Not if they filled in the same form in the last 6 months. They see what they told you last time and confirm nothing has changed, including no new reactions since any patch test. They still sign it again.
What is the best booking system for a lash tech working from home?
One with your own booking page, deposits and consent forms, at a price that suits one person. Covered Beauty Solo is £9 a month. If you also rent a room in a salon one day a week, add both places as venues and clients choose where they come, seeing only the times you’re there.
